One of the many tasks crew perform during a trip is to monitor the machinery. Every hour a crew member will perform checks of the engine room to inspect all equipment. We are looking for leaks, noises, vibrations, smells, that might indicate a potential problem.

Captain John would like to invite everyone to join us on our journey to the land that time forgot!

First Mate Ricky managing the fuel pump.
Stewardess Taylor is ready to head to sea!!

Today is the day! Weeks of preparations come to and end and we are ready to depart for the Galapagos Islands. The first leg of the trip is 1286 nautical miles from Fort Lauderdale to Colon, Panama. Last item left is to fuel the boat. Warbird holds 7000 gallons of diesel fuel that gives us a range of thousands of miles. Today we will pull alongside a Peterson fuel delivery barge to top off the tanks!

And the adventure begins….

Thanks for joining me!
